Today I want to tell you about one of my favourtite places in Europe – Bled.
It’s a cute little town (very little) located in Slovenia very near the Austrian Border. I would recommend staying there for about 1 or 2 days.
You can climb of the castle hill and enjoy an amazing view of Lake Bled and the surrounding. On a clear day you can also see the beautiful mountains and after that take a walk through Bled Castle.
There is even a possibility to visit Bled Island ( the only natural island in Slovenia). This island is really tiny but still it’s got its own charm. There you’ve got a little Cafe a chruch and a small souvenir shop. It’ll take you about 5-10 minutes to walk around the island (like I said, very small).
Nevertheless Bled is worth a visit 🙂

Your pictures are beautiful! Lake Bled is top of our bucket list right now. We have plans to spend 3 days in Slovenia in September as part of our 4 week driving through Europe adventure and I can’t wait to see Ljublijana, Bled, Postojna, Bohinj and the Soca Valley, and others (if time permits). Your posts have just fired us up even more!

it’s interesting to see how other people see this place. It’s sure nice but I live in Slovenia and have been to Bled several times but I see it totally different. Still nice photos and god job on presenting this. Greetings

Haha yea you know most people see the place they live at very differently. Like i have a friend who lives in Santa Monica near the beach and she hates it she would like to live in Europe, I cant understand it but oh well.. I find my own country quite boring either XD

Yes there is boats going there but you have to pay for it, I think it was 10 EUR.

Bled looks very beautiful. I hadn’t heard of it before. I think I would enjoy a visit there 🙂
